Sadly, out of a 5 day camping trip we managed only to get one good (decent) cup of coffee out of the kit. The water flowed down the sides or out of the top instead of dripping through the filter and into the pot. At first we thought it was because the kit was not level and so we spent a great deal of time making sure the pot was on a level surface. This did not make a difference. We placed a tray under the kit and at the end of one of the brewing processes for 8 cups there was more coffee in the tray (about half a cup) than in the pot.
