First, the latch that holds the lid down, doesn't. I had to attach a double hooked bungee to hold the lid down. Second, when I first used the grill to see how it worked, one of the grill grates had two pieces pop off from being cracked prior to the coating being applied (a fresh crack\/break will be shiny or the same color as the parent cast metal).
